Antibody Test After Vaccination

Antibodies prevent future infections. All vaccines activate the body's process of creating antibodies against the target disease. If you get the coronavirus vaccine (biontek, pfizer, moderna, synovac,) your body will produce specific coronavirus antibodies. That's why some antibody tests created specifically for post-vaccination will give a positive result if you've been vaccinated, even if you haven't had the disease. This is called vaccine-induced-sero-positivity (VISP: Vaccine Induced Seropositivity). In other words, antibodies activated by the vaccine are formed in your body against the disease.

However, the antibody tests of those who have had the disease are different. After vaccination, special antibody tests are required. Because the antibodies produced by the vaccine are diagnosed differently from the antibodies produced by the disease.
Vaccine Antibodies vs. Infection Antibodies

The antibodies your body produces when you have the covid-19 disease are different from the antibodies it produces after vaccination. The most important post-vaccine antibodies are Spike Antibody. These spike antibodies target spike proteins in the virus's wall. These spike antibodies attach to the spike proteins on the virus and prevent the virus from attaching to healthy cells in your body. Thus, they neutralize the virus and disease. Therefore, the antibodies produced by the vaccine provide more protection than the antibodies in the body of a person who has had the disease.

On the other hand, the antibodies produced by someone who has the disease attach not only to the spike protein but also to other viral proteins such as the nucleocapsid (nucleocapsid). However, any vaccine currently on the market does not produce an antibody against the nucleocapsid protein. All antibody tests in use today can only detect this second type of antibody. But as vaccination increases, new tests will be developed that can detect specific antibodies produced after the vaccine that adhere to the spike protein of the virus. In this way, it will be understood whether any positive antibody (serology) test is the antibody of someone who has had the disease or someone who has been vaccinated.

Therefore, when you go to the hospital to have an antibody test, always ask whether it is the nucleocapsid antibody test after the disease or the spike antibody test after the vaccine.

Since Cellex antibody tests directly target the spike protein of the virus, they can detect specific antibodies that occur after vaccination. As can be seen in the picture below, you can find out whether the vaccine has been vaccinated or not with Cellex antibody tests. Cellex antibody tests are positive only 5 days after the main main dose, the second dose of vaccination.
